On August 31, 2017, volunteers from Pulte Homes and BrightView landscape Services Englewood lent a helping hand a green thumb to help enhance the grounds at Children First’s Venice location.  They generously donated their time and supplies to give at-risk children and families a beautiful welcome when they arrive at school each day.  Dozens of volunteers spent two days trimming trees and shrubs, sprucing up landscaping with new plants and boulders, and installing a new irrigation system.

As one of the nation’s top-ten Head Start providers, it is so important that what our families see when they walk through the front doors is a representation of the high-quality of education and care their child will receive inside. We know it will brighten their day to have something so nice to look at each time they bring their children to school!

Children First’s Venice site is rented for just $1 per year from the Suncoast Foundation for Handicapped Children because of a partnership with Suncoast Charities for Children.  Thanks to the generosity of our community and partnerships like these, Children First is able to devote funds to efforts that will strengthen our children and families by improving the quality of their lives through a comprehensive approach to development, education, health, and well-being.

Thank you, Pulte Homes and Brightview Landscape Services of Englewood!
