Children First’s Families First Institute is gearing up for its 200th award-winning Nurturing Dads class this spring. On the brink of its 20th year of offering the course, it will hit a new milestone on March 1st when it reaches its 2,000th dad. The free 10-week course is modeled after The Nurturing Father’s Program, a curriculum created by Sarasota author Mark Perlman. The course allows fathers the opportunity to discuss parenting topics in a comfortable setting with other men, stressing the importance of engaged fathering.
“This course is the perfect way of introducing new dads to 21st-century parenting. Amazing curriculum, start to finish,” said Nurturing Dads Class 199 graduate Israel Rodriguez.
The class is open to the community. Those interested in participating in Nurturing Dads and other classes offered through the Families First Institute can sign up
