The Impact of the Giving Challenge
In 2016, the Giving Challenge enabled Children First to provide quality early childhood education and family strengthening services to over 600 children and their families. Children were able to learn in a safe space, receive the education and care they needed, and get their bellies filled with healthy meals. And their parents were able to continue their own education, find or sustain employment, and meet goals so they can achieve self-sufficiency.
The support of those who participated in the Giving Challenge impacted the most vulnerable children and families in our community – most live in poverty, many are single parents, and some are even homeless. The families we serve are diverse, but they all have one thing in common: they are trying to provide a better life for their children. From a single mother who is raising her three children while becoming a nurse to a mother and father who are trying to give their child, who has been diagnosed with developmental delays, all the tools she needs to be successful, all of our families are working towards a better future.
It is only with the generosity of our community that we can ensure that parents are provided the opportunities they need to be successful and their children receive the care and education they deserve. It is this support that helps make a brighter and better future possible.
Your belief in the success of our children and families means so much. We would be so grateful if you continued your commitment during the upcoming Giving Challenge. Your gift, up to $100, will be matched which means it will have double the impact on our children and families.
