Children First is a non-profit organization that annually serves over 500 of Sarasota County's most vulnerable children and their families. A nationally recognized "Program of Excellence", and selected as one of the top 40 Outstanding Head Start programs in the United States, Children First delivers a variety of critical services for children from prenatal to five years of age. We also offer support services to all of our families to help them establish and achieve their goals. Children First focuses on the children and families in our community who are at risk because of poverty. Our comprehensive programs are designed to meet each family's individual needs. These services provide for their nutritional, medical, educational, emotional and developmental well being. Children First is nationally recognized by the National Head Start Association and joined the ranks of only 25 programs in the United States with Program of Excellence designation.
